Shedding Problem

We have a beautiful black Chinese Shar Pei.

She has a terrible shedding problem. We buy special dog food (supposedly helps with this issue) as well as bathing her in dog soap with oatmeal etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a brand of brush/comb, food, shampoo, etc., that could help with this problem?

We love her and she is a great dog.

Unfortunately one of our eldest children (2nd yr college) is allergic and we want to reduce this problem as best as possible.

I believe the right combination will help keep dander under control as well.
