Help! Nasty Ear Mites Keep Coming Back

I have a 14 year old beagle who I love more than anything. The last of our 3 kids left home last year so it's us and the dog.

She has had ear mites off and on for almost a year. We've done holistic treatment, pyrethrins and the b*****ds keep coming back.

I just saw a remedy using rubbing alcohol, boric acid and gentian violet. Has anyone tried this with success.

She also has 2 hot spots on her hip. She was seen by her vet 6 months ago and treated with a naturopathic ear drop. It worked and now they're back again.

Somebody please help my poor dog, she's suffering.
