Dog Eye Goop

We took our dog to the vet who prescribed eye drops (steroids) for his allergy eyes and it did not help, he still has redness and eye goop/discharge.

I wash his eyes carefully with warm water, seems to help a little.

The vet said to use over the counter eye drops, but I cannot recall which ones and the vet is out of the country for the next month.

What do I use now?
