Follow the Vet's Advice
by: Dog Supplies Advisor.com

Hi Renee,
We're so sorry to hear about your dog eye problem and sympathize with your concerns.

In our experience if the dog eye discharge is from a dog allergy reaction it can be wiped away in the morning with a damp cloth or tissue and usually doesn't build up too quickly.

But if its a dog eye infection it can be much more serious and lead to further canine health problems.

If you felt that the original issue was serious enough to consult with your veterinarian it seems it should be important enough to follow his medical advice. Especially if your dog's condition worsens.

You say that your vet is away. If his office is still attended perhaps his veterinarian assistant could refer to his notes and come up with the information you need.

If not, maybe they can refer you to an alternate veterinarian in the area.

We wish you and your dog well and you can be sure that our loyal DogSpace Forums community is rooting for you and your pup.
